Blue jeans locks

Omec’s iconic ‘Jeans’ film adorns the new security locks

The historic light blue finish, created in the 1970s thanks to the vision of founder Lorenzo Camplani, has become the hallmark of the entire flagship range for aluminium windows and doors.

There are details capable of defining a brand’s history and making it unique in the market. At Omec, this detail has a very specific colour and texture: the characteristic light blue film with a denim-like texture.

Originally designed to cover the casing of our traditional strip locks, this finish has, over time, become a true trademark, instantly recognisable to window and door manufacturers, fitters and retailers.

More than just aesthetics: protection of the highest standard

The denim film is not merely a visual element. Right from the outset, it has been designed to fulfil a fundamental technical function:

  • It protects the lock body from external factors and corrosion.
  • It increases the lock’s durability over time.
  • It preserves the product’s integrity during transport and installation.

A perfect blend of design and durability that makes Omec products incredibly reliable.

A tribute to our roots, a glimpse into the future

This extraordinary insight dates back to the 1970s and is linked to Lorenzo Camplani, the founder of Omec. It was he who envisaged our locks with this unique look, transforming an industrial component into a symbol of ‘Made in Italy’ identity and quality.

Today, that vision is expanding. We are proud to announce that, from now on, our security locks for mullions and multi-point locks will also feature the original denim-blue film.

With this development, we are extending the visual and protective standard that has made us famous across our entire flagship range for aluminium profiles. Because we firmly believe that details matter and that aesthetics are important, even when it comes to maximum security.
